Reflecting Pool

Enchanting is the word that best describes the area of the Reflecting Pool. Originally used as Mr. du Pont’s swimming pool and then the site of the first wedding held at Winterthur for Pauline Louise du Pont, the reflecting pool appears to have been designed with weddings in mind. With an event capacity of 350, the area is breathtaking from all views. Brides have dreamt of an entrance as dramatic as walking down the stone staircase and into the lush poolside area. Allow your guests more time enjoying the outdoors and sweeping views by having your cocktail hour poolside. Imagine the butlers greeting your guests with wine and sparkling water as guests move from the ceremony site. A wedding ceremony at the reflecting pool is a truly a dream come true!

Visitor Center Pavilion

The Visitor Center is centrally located on the Winterthur estate. As you first arrive down our beautiful winding drive, the Visitor Center comes into full view. As the sun sets, your guests will be captivated by the candle lit tables and the sparkling indoor trees peaking through the glass walls. These glass walls will allow your guests to look out over the ponds, flora, and fauna. The pitched roof makes for the perfect canopy over your dancing guests. The adjacent outdoor patio is nestled between the beautiful trees and a serene natural landscape which will give your guests quiet reflection and a serene place to catch up with family and friends.

Galleries Reception Atrium

The Galleries Reception Area is the gateway into Winterthur Museum. Built as an extension of the mansion, the Galleries Reception Area is the perfect spot for an indoor wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or a smaller, more intimate wedding reception. Floor to ceiling windows on the east and west side provide streams of light. There are spacious slate outdoor patios on both ends of the Gallery that provide your guests with outdoor access and views of the estate and surrounding landscape.
